CamCard - Business card scanner & reader App Reviews

This saves so much time been waiting for something like this for a long time.

I was hoping to sync across devices as promised but this app is iPhone only. I think you have to buy a different version for iPad or log into acct through the Internet. Also if its a concern for anyone this company is in the Peoples Republic of China. I was curious because of the poor English and in reading the Terms of Service the arbitration clause stated that user agrees to use court in China! Definitely will not be using this app.

App is great so far with little error. Recognition is mostly accurate and process is easy to follow. I wish there were more options to sync contacts to other platforms like LinkedIn. More work to do INTSIG but not bad.

What a joke. Used once and deleted the app. They want your address book and your info. Scam alert!

Didnt work for me at all I tried it with high end cards with logo designs and crazy layouts so I understand not being able to decipher that. However I also tried it with many simple vista print type cards just a simple and plain, name, email, web and it only got about 25% right, not worth any money in my opinion.

I liked the option available in the old version that let me choose if I wanted the card contacts to be stored just in the card holder. Now they must also be stored in my contacts. I preferred to keep my contacts and business cards separate. If this option was still available I would give it 5 stars.

Hi, 1)Once a business contact is saved into the phone, the app should automatically search the Internet for that contacts "yelp" reviews and for other accounts that business could have (LinkedIn,Facebook, bob,Twitter etc) this would help business oriented people use the best saved contacts available, thus encouraging people to use yelp or other services though this app. A great business partnership that would help CamCard and its potential affiliates while serving the user. 2)cursive handwriting is poorly recognizable or not recognizable at all.Text recognition needs more work. 3)keep up the good work, this app is a great tool for the modern world.

The app is good enough however it still needs to be more accurate. Please get it to support Turkish language, and addresses...

This all is not worth a penny and yet they charge me without authorization... I would stay away

It takes 5 taps to sort a card into a category. And once your done it goes to the top and you lose your place. Seriously guys? Single swipe sorting please.

Really like the concept, execution is sketchy. Obviously there isnt a FORM for business cards these days, so it does w good job with what it can. I would like a more useable card capture interface. If we could pick what shape the business card is before we shoot a pic it might help out a lot!!! When we delete cards, can it ask us if it can delete the contact as well??

Im surprised it hasnt occurred to the developers, but this app is only worth it if it is faster and easier than entering the data manually. It isnt. Most of the time it doesnt even read the card right. Fail.

I just tested the app, and found that the version I am using is not affected with xCodeGhost. Great! Thanks to the developer.

I find that there are 2 media have made corrections to their coverage that CC is not affected. Great app and must give 5 stars.

infected code from impatient coder shortcuts: though fast, powerful function from well executed code (therefore immensely popular) you used an INFECTED localcopy of apples code which did NOT come from their servers. you used it because it downloaded faster. It Was Infected With XcodeGhost. YOU PUT ME AND ALL MY INFORMATION ON THE OPEN MARKET. Contact lists, Web sites, App use... Everything I Did On My Phone. i will not trust you again. Goodbye.

This latest version has been recompiled using Apples latest XCode and no longer contains malware. Download knowing the app is safe and is designed to help the business man or woman go digital with business cards. Worth the money to buy!

At the beginning this app was good, after some updates its not accurate at all

Why does the app have to convert 2 character state abbreviations to their full spelling?? E.g CA gets converted to California. This is hugely annoying. Please fix this! Anyone from CC?? The reader does a fair job converting text, but it could be better.

This is exactly what I needed: I snap a photo of the business card, and this automatically puts the info into my Contacts app. Plus the CamCad program itself keeps business cards stored with the photo of the card along with the electronic information on the card. Sweet price, too!
